this friday will be the start of my 33rd year of this life i lead. 33. wow, i'm not old, just older, although "young me" would probably call "me now" old, i don't feel old.
i really don't have many plans for my birthday. I'm taking 2 days off to do whatever i feel like (and can afford), alcohol will probably be involved, although not in the quantities that have been experienced on past birthdays, i'll probably play some video games and maybe even do some yard work (stupid gophers), and golfing (if the weather is nice).
god, i am old.
party on saturday, w00t!!

Welcome!!
Not to you brilliant few that read this blog, but to my new son. Well, I guess he isn't new... he's about a month old, actually, he's older than a month and I have no reason for not posting about it until now other than I am lazy. So there you go, Tyler Lowell is here and he was born February 19th, 2008 in the afternoon, he weighed some pounds and was inches long!! Anyways, I was thinking, you know how they can never find photos of criminal masterminds in movies, yeah, I just ruined that for Tyler. You hear that boy!! I win, just like with the pacifier, haha!!

A sweet SNL digital short
i'm trying something new here to see if it works, if it does then i am awesome and you get to see one of my favorite SNL shorts. If you click play you'll be treated with "Lazy Sunday", it's a short rap song starring Andy Samberg and Chris Parnell and their trip to the movies.
"you could call us Aaron Burr by the way we're dropping Hamiltons"
Why can't Oregon Do this?

I have a pet peeve. People that don't know how to drive, and more specifically, people that drive in the left hand lane that are not passing other cars.
here's the thing, we (as the general public) complain about traffic, about speeders and unsafe drivers, but the public never complains about drivers clogging up the passing lanes. "Slower traffic stay right" and "left lane for passing only" are signs I see pretty regularly, but I'll be traveling down the highway or freeway behind a guy in the left hand lane going under the speed limit and I will have to pass him on the right or wait for him to get over.
Now I admit, I drive faster than the speed limit, and that is against the law, but if I get caught I get pulled over, issued a ticket and pay my fine. These folks never get fined, I've seen cops follow behind these drivers and do nothing. It drives me nuts. Ask my wife, I drive her nuts mentioning it I'm sure.
on another note. WTF?!!! 2 posts in 2 days.

I don't usually wear ties...
But i think if i did, i would wear these ties. specifically the monkeys, pirates and space invaders, in that order. i saw those and thought maybe i should buy some nicer shirts for work, but then i came to my senses.
speaking of work, i was thinking of taking some pictures of my workplace and posting them here, for no other reason than to avoid doing actual work.
